Highly touted quarterback Blake Barnett decommited from Notre Dame on Wednesday.
Barnett, a dual-threat quarterback from Santiago High School (Corona, Calif.), is a four-star recruit, according to 24/7 Sports and Rivals.com. Barnett announced his decision on Twitter.
— Blake Barnett (@BlakeBarnett_8) June 5, 2014Barnett also has drawn interest from Oregon and Alabama. Barnett is one of the few prizes left at quarterback in the Class of 2015. Seven of the nine quarterbacks in the Rivals Top 100 are committed.
Torrance Gibson from American Heritage High School (Plantation, Fla.) is the only other quarterback who is not committed. Tennessee and Auburn are among the lead candidates for Gibson.
