Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic and Stephen Curry headline 2020-21 All-NBA First Team image

On Wednesday, the NBA announced the All-NBA awards as voted on by a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters.

Voting was based on games played through the regular season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo headlines the All-NBA First Team as the lone unanimous selection, earning his third consecutive First Team selection.

The Greek Freak is joined by MVP Nikola Jokic, making the First Team for the second time in the past three seasons. For Curry, it's his fourth selection to the First Team and seventh All-NBA Team honour overall, while Doncic makes it two straight First Team selections, becoming the first player to make the All-NBA First Team at least twice in his first three NBA seasons since Tim Duncan (three times from 1997-98 – 1999-2000).

Leonard receives his third All-NBA First Team selection and fifth All-NBA Team selection overall.

The Second Team is headlined by Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who averaged 28.8 points, 7.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds, earning his sixth All-NBA Team selection.

Most Improved Player of the Year Julius Randle earns his first All-NBA selection, while Phoenix Suns veteran Chris Paul earns his 10th selection, the second-most among active players behind LeBron James, who extends his record to 17.

This is the sixth All-NBA Team selection for Paul George, the fourth for Gobert and Butler and the third for Irving. 

As for voting, players were awarded five points for each vote to the All-NBA First Team, three points for each vote to the Second Team and one point for each vote to the Third Team. 

Voters selected two guards, two forwards and one center for each team, choosing players at the position where they play regularly.  Players who received votes at multiple positions were slotted at the position where they received the most votes.
