The game never resumed, and players from both sides were evacuated amid escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. While most players have moved on, Fraser-McGurk appears to have been deeply affected by the episode.

Why Jake Fraser-McGurk won’t be returning for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025
Fraser-McGurk’s childhood coach, Shanon Young, has revealed that the youngster is still shaken from what happened in Dharamsala.
In a conversation with TimesofIndia.com, Young explained that the batter has not fully recovered from the mental toll of that night and is still unsure about playing again in the tournament.
“I’m honestly not sure. He is still tossing up a decision. I spoke to him this morning, and he is still unsure,” said Young.
Young was with the team at the time. He said that Fraser-McGurk appeared more disturbed than others, possibly due to being the youngest overseas player in the squad.
“He was shaken more than most… He wasn’t in a good way, and I am very thankful I was there to help guide him through that,” he added.
Young also praised the Delhi Capitals management for handling the situation with maturity and care, saying they were “incredible in a time of uncertainty.”
