The marketing head of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise, Nikhil Sosale, has been arrested in relation to the Bengaluru stampede case.
The Bengaluru police took action against Sosale in the early hours of Friday, alongside Sunil Mathew, who was associated with the event management company called DNA.

This was in connection with the tragedy that unfolded during RCB's trophy celebrations, where eleven people lost their lives in a stampede outside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Several more people were injured too, after which the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah demanded the arrest of the officials of RCB, DNA, and the Karnataka Cricket Association.
The Bengaluru-based franchise faced a lot of flak for continuing their celebrations inside the stadium, despite people losing their lives.

Who is Nikhil Sosale?
Nikhil Sosale is RCB's head of marketing and revenue at Diageo India. Reportedly, he was arrested in Bengaluru when he was on his way to fly to Mumbai.
Sosale was seen in the stands for many RCB matches this season. He was spotted alongside Virat Kohli's wife, Anushka Sharma, on multiple occasions. He has been associated with the franchise for a long time; His LinkedIn profile mentions that he leads the design, strategy, and delivery of the business.

He is also the marketing charter of the leading brand and the commercial program in the Indian Premier League. Sosale is a holder of a Double Major in Business from James Cook University, where he pursued the degree from 2008 to 2010.
According to reports from India Today, three members of DNA Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. have also been detained so far.
