The Indian Premier League will return after a nine-day gap as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru will host the Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 17.

As match 58 is to be played in Bengaluru, the teams took it to the stadium ahead of the clash for their first training sessions in a week on May 15.

This was also the first time that Virat Kohli entered the field as a former Test cricketer and he was all smiles on being back on to the ground.

The Knight Riders' social media handles, on the evening of May 15, posted a video where the old friends, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli entering the Chinnaswamy Stadium, hugging and sharing a peal of laughter.

The duo have shared a lot of moments together over the years and has always shown mutual respect for each other. For a long time, Rahane was one of Virat's closest confidants on the Test side when India was on a rise—something that video reminds every Indian fan of.

While Kohli continues to play ODIs for India, Rahane, despite not retiring yet, has not worn an India jersey since July 2023, when India played against the West Indies in Port of Spain.
