As per reports, the final might be shifted from Kolkata to Ahmedabad reportedly due to uncertain weather conditions in the City of Joy.

"No, no, we’re trying and talking to the BCCI. Is it that easy to shift the final? It’s Eden’s playoffs, and I’m sure everything will be sorted. I’m very hopeful," Ganguly was quoted by the Press Trust of India.

"Protest doesn’t help much. BCCI has a very good relationship with the Cricket Association of Bengal," added Ganguly.

Kolkata's weather during the playoff dates has been a cause of concern for the IPL governing council, and the CAB has done everything in their power by sending them the Indian Meteorological Department's data to claim good weather.
