The Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag led the fightback against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2025 match at Eden Gardens.
While RR fell short of the finish line, Parag's consecutive sixes off six legal deliveries was a highlight in the one-run thriller at Kolkata. The home side managed to hold their nerves and kept their playoff hopes alive.

The RR skipper came in to bat in a precarious situation at the Eden Gardens with 2 down for 8 during a 207 run chase, he took his time to get the eye in ahead of Moeen Ali coming in to bowl the 13th over.
Later in the innings, he went on to smoke the off-spinner for five sixes from 12.2 to 12.6 before he was brought back onto the strike by Shimron Hetmyer on 13.2, where he once again hit Varun Chakravarthy for a six.

In the process of going 45*(26) to 81*(32), Parag also hit the sponsor's car on display at the venue to prompt them to donate 5L for cricket kits at the grassroots level.

Riyan Parag hits TATA Curvv with a six; prompts a 5L donation from the sponsors
Parag's fourth maximum over long in the 13th over against Moeen Ali hit the TATA Curvv on display at the ground.
Deep Dasgupta in the commentary box reminded the viewers of the TATA's initiative if a ball hits the Curvv car during an IPL 2025 match.
According to the initiative by Tata Motors, the group has pledged to donate 5 Lakh INR in cricket kits for grassroots development each time the ball hits the sponsor's car in the stadium.
This is similar to their 2023 initiative, where they had donated 10 Lakh INR to a coffee plantation in Karnataka.
Riyan Parag fulfills IPL 2023 promise of hitting four sixes in an over but 2 years later
Back in 2023, Parag had publicly shared his gut feeling of hitting 4 sixes in a row during that year's IPL.
While he failed to do it in 2023, he has fulfilled that promise two years later, in 2025.
However, the RR captain will still be disappointed after failing to take his team past the finish line.
