On Sunday evening, Rahul quietly reached a huge milestone and became the fastest Indian to complete 8000 runs in T20 cricket.

This wasn’t just another knock for the stylish right-hander. With this achievement, he moved ahead of Indian legend Virat Kohli, who had held the record previously.

Fastest Indian batters to 8000 T20 runs

Rahul reached the 8000-run mark in his 224th T20 innings. That’s quicker than any other Indian batter in the format's history.

He has been a consistent performer in T20s since making his debut in the format back in 2013. Over the years, Rahul has built a strong record.

Kohli had previously achieved the milestone in 243 innings, followed by Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rohit Sharma.
