While Bollywood stars' presence in IPL matches and cheering for the franchises has been a regular occurrence in the last 18 years, it is only a handful of actors who are actually part of the team ownership and management.

Along with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who co-owns the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise with another Hindi film actor, Juhi Chawla, Preity has also been part of PBKS' management since 2008.

Does Preity Zinta cook 'Parathas' for PBKS players?

Former PBKS and ex-England international star Ravi Bopara had recalled being fed parathas by the team co-owner.

In a chat with Hindustan Times back in 2024, Bopara reminisced: "The standout moment apart from winning, and getting my highest score, was when Preity Zinta cooked parathas for me. She made them with her own hands. When she asked me what I wanted for breakfast, I mentioned aloo parathas, and she graciously made them herself. I am forever thankful for that gesture."

Last season, the actor herself had admitted that she once had to make 120 'Aloo Parathas' for the entire team. During a post-match chat with the broadcaster, Zinda had said: "Once during IPL, I said that I want to eat aloo ka paratha. In the hotel, we were fed a very dull, tired paratha.

"On this, I said that I will teach you. The players present there then asked me whether I would make paratha for us. I said ok, but for this, you all have to give a memorable win to the team.

"After this, it happened that the team got a great win. Then I said okay and I made parathas for everyone. You won't believe that I fed parathas to the boys and they kept on eating. While doing this, I had to make 120 aloo parathas. That was the day and today is the day. Since then, I have never made aloo parathas."

Now, in a latest chat with her fans on X, a user asked the actor if she regularly cooks parathas for her players if they win, to which the actor hilariously replied: "No, but according to the memes, I do."

What next for PBKS?

The Shreyas Iyer-led side will be back in action in the IPL 2025 season on Wednesday as they travel to Chennai to face an under-fire Chennai Super Kings side.
