IPL 2025 has been a season where run-scoring has scaled new heights. And Punjab Kings have now made a mark in IPL history.

Their latest innings -- a 206/8 against Delhi Capitals was not just another big total. It was their seventh 200-plus score of IPL 2025 which is the most by any team in a single season.

This innings got PBKS to surpass the previous record held by Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR had posted six 200+ totals in IPL 2024.

Punjab have now set a new benchmark for consistent batting firepower across a season.

At Sawai Mansingh Stadium, PBKS hit another double ton. Marcus Stoinis’ late knock (44 off 16) caught the eye but it was skipper Shreyas Iyer’s calm fifty that drove the innings.

Josh Inglis also added momentum up top and despite regular wickets, Punjab never lost their attacking intent. From 142/4 after 15 overs, PBKS went on to finish at 206/8.
