One more important match in the ongoing Indian Premier League season is under threat of being washed out due to rain as the Delhi Capitals are set to play against the Mumbai Indians on May 21.
As per the revised schedule, the match is supposed to be played in Mumbai on Wednesday evening, however, the meteorological department has issued a yellow alert in Mumbai as the monsoon approaches the city.

Previously, the Kolkata Knight Riders also saw their way out of the tournament due to a must-win match getting abandoned, away in Bengaluru.
The Capitals, currently, also sit on the fence on the fifth position with 13 points in 12 matches, as opposed to MI's 14 in 12. Hence, Parth Jindal, the co-owner of DC has made a special request to the BCCI for the match. See what he had to say.
Parth Jindal calls for a venue change for MI vs DC amid yellow alert in Mumbai:
Recently, after the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's game against KKR was washed out, the BCCI shifted RCB's game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad to Lucknow due to weather concerns.
Jindal, citing the same issue, has now asked the board to consider the yellow alert and change the venue for the match on Wednesday evening.
"The forecast in Mumbai is for heavy rains, and there is a strong likelihood that the game will be washed out. Just as the game between RCB vs SRH has been moved out of Bengaluru in the quest for consistency and in the interest of the league it is my request that tomorrow's game also be moved to a different location as we have known for the better part of 6 days that the forecast for 21st in Mumbai is for heavy showers," he wrote to the board.
Notably, the IPL governing council has also added 2 hours extra in the stipulated time for the games to avoid washouts in the early days of the monsoon in India after the unfortunate RCB vs KKR game—something that has not been appreciated by the KKR management.
The IPL governing council has also changed the venues for the IPL playoffs to avoid rain breaks after the schedule was revised post the hiatus. Below is the revised playoff schedule.
