Rishabh Pant at last gave the Lucknow fans a reason to smile. After several poor scores this season, the LSG captain came back strong with a brilliant hundred in their final match of IPL 2025.

He played a stunning innings at the Ekana Stadium, and even team owner Sanjiv Goenka praised him with a special message. LSG may have bowed out of the playoff race, but Pant made sure they didn’t leave quietly.

After the game, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka shared his reaction on social media. He called the innings "Pant'astic!" and added a clapping emoji to celebrate the moment. 

How did Rishabh Pant perform in LSG’s final match?

Pant smashed an unbeaten 118 off just 61 deliveries against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He cracked 11 fours and 8 sixes and finished with a strike-rate close to 200. This was his first-ever IPL hundred for Lucknow.

Pant was under fire all season due to poor form, scoring only 151 runs in the first 13 games. But this knock changed the tone completely. He found his timing early and launched into Yash Dayal for 18 runs in the fourth over. That over set the tone for the rest of his innings.

Pant's season had been tough. His average was low, and his strike rate was barely above 100. Critics questioned whether the ₹27 crore spent on him in the auction was worth it. But in this match, he looked more focused.
