In the middle of growing rumours surrounding his IPL future, Nitish Kumar Reddy has set the record straight.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder was at the centre of speculation last week - with several reports suggesting he was unhappy with his role at the franchise and looking to switch teams ahead of the 2026 season. Now, the 22-year-old has responded publicly for the first time.

Reddy was retained by SRH for ₹6 crore ahead of IPL 2025. He endured a quiet season with both bat and ball.

Despite his modest returns this year, the buzz around his future grew louder - especially after a report by India Today claimed that the youngster was considering his options due to dissatisfaction with his current role.

Does Nitish Reddy want to leave SRH ahead of IPL 2025?

Taking to social media on Sunday, Reddy dismissed the speculation and reiterated his commitment to the franchise. Without naming any outlet, he said that while he usually avoids noise, he felt the need to offer clarity this time.

"I tend to stay away from the noise, but some things deserve clarity. My connection with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion. I'll always stand by this team," Reddy posted on X.

Reddy's IPL 2025 numbers were not remarkable: 182 runs in 13 games at an average of 22.75, along with just two wickets. But his 2024 breakout season and subsequent India call-ups in T20Is and Tests have kept him in the spotlight.

In the ongoing Test series against England, he played the Edgbaston and Lord's matches before being ruled out of the final two Tests due to a left knee injury.
