New Zealand all-rounder, Michael Bracewell, was picked by the Multan Sultans for the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League in 2025.
This was after the off-spinner, unfortunately, went unsold in the auction for the Indian Premier League after setting his base price as 1 crore.
As he started his first PSL adventure with the Sultans, the comments of the franchise owner have gone viral as, in an interesting turn of events, the Punjab Kings look to find a replacement for Glenn Maxwell, who has been ruled out of the IPL 2025.

Can PBKS replace Maxwell with Bracwell?
On May 1, the Punjab Kings announced that Maxwell would be ruled out for the remainder of the season through a finger injury through a media release.
As they look out for replacements, fans think, Bracewell, who has played for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru before, could be a good replacement. However, the franchise cannot rope him in due to contractual obligations with the Sultans in PSL.
Earlier this season, in a similar incident, South Africa's Corbin Bosch, who was drafted in by the Peshawar Zalmis was roped in as a replacement by the Mumbai Indians after Lizaad Williams was ruled out of the tournament.
Bosch was served a legal notice and was banned from PSL for one year as he continues to participate in the IPL.
