MI vs DC, IPL 2025: Live scorecard, match updates
End of match: MI won by 59 runs
Mumbai Indians have officially sealed the last playoff spot with a thumping win at the Wankhede. It was a clinical finish from their bowlers -- with Jasprit Bumrah knocking over Mustafizur to wrap things up in the 19th over.
Mitchell Santner delivered a stunning spell -- bamboozling DC's middle order after the top three fell early. The dry, turning pitch worked in his favour and dew never came into play.
Bumrah cleaned up the tail in style. MI now join GT, RCB and PBKS in the playoffs. And now, the top-two battle intensifies from here.
End of 12 overs: DC 84/5
Jasprit Bumrah returned to the attack and struck immediately by trapping Stubbs LBW with a off-cutter in the 10th over -- restricting DC to 66/5. Mitchell Santner took a wicket for 9 runs from his 3 overs yet.
He bowled a tidy 12th over that gave away just 2 runs. Karn Sharma was expensive in his second over as Ashutosh Sharma found two boundaries and a six to inject some life into the chase.
With the required rate climbing and half the side back in the dugout, DC are under serious pressure.
End of powerplay: DC 49/3
It’s been a rollercoaster start to Delhi’s chase of 180. They got going with a couple of early boundaries from Rahul and Faf but Mumbai quickly hit back.
Chahar got Faf at long-on and Boult dismissed Rahul. Porel was dismissed soon after -- stumped off Jacks. DC will need something special to pull this off but they have done it before -- remember the 210 chase vs LSG from 7/3?
End of first innings: Mumbai Indians 180/5
Mumbai Indians were struggling for momentum for much of their innings, reaching just 132/5 by the end of the 18th over on a pitch that offered some grip and turn.
However, a stunning late assault by Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir turned things around dramatically. The pair smashed 48 runs in the final two overs, with SKY finishing on a brilliant 73 off 43 balls and Dhir chipping in with a fiery 24* off just 8 deliveries.
Thanks to their late fireworks, MI have posted a competitive total of 180/5, giving themselves a real chance in this match on a tough pitch.
End of 10 overs: Mumbai Indians 80/3
A superb passage of play for Delhi Capitals as they tighten the screws in the middle overs. Mumbai Indians managed just 26 runs in the last four overs and lost the key wicket of Ryan Rickelton, who was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.
Both Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav have taken a cautious approach, looking to settle in after the early blows. With MI at 80/3 after 10 overs, the onus is now on this pair to accelerate the scoring in the second half.
End of powerplay: Mumbai Indians 54/2
The match hangs in the balance after the first six overs, with Mumbai Indians reaching 54/2. Rohit Sharma departed early for just 5, falling to Mustafizur Rahman in the third over.
Rickelton looked in good touch, smashing back-to-back sixes off Chameera while Will Jacks added some momentum with a quick 21. However, their partnership didn’t last long, as Mukesh Kumar struck to remove Jacks in the sixth over.
At the end of the powerplay, Rickelton remains unbeaten on 22 with Suryakumar Yadav on 6.
