Speaking on the podcast, Kohli said, "Ishant is someone that I very naturally connected with and like absolutely nothing has changed from Day 1. Regardless of whether we have played together or we don’t play together anymore, when I see him it’s exactly the same."
Kohli further added that Ishant is someone with whom he can share anything and everything without any fear of judgement.
"I can absolutely share everything with him without any judgement. With complete understanding and complete empathy. So he is a very special individual in my life."
Ishant Sharma has 105 Test matches, 80 ODIs and 14 T20Is for the Indian national team. He played an important part in India's Champions Trophy 2013 triumph as picked up the important wickets of Eoin Morgan and Ravi Bopara who looked well set to take the game away from the Men in Blue.
Ishant is currently plying his trade for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League.
