What did KL Rahul say about the criticism he faces?

The DC star opened up about how the negativity online, affects him. Rahul admitted that there were times when he used to read all the comments and see the trolling.

Even now, it’s hard for him to completely avoid it And while he tries to not hold grudges, it’s not easy to forget the hurtful words.

“There were times when I used to read and see the things said about me,” he shared. “I’m not saying I’ve found a way to completely stay out of it. It’s hard in modern times to fully disconnect from what's happening in the outside world. I can forgive, but I can’t forget,” Rahul told Sky Sports.

He also addressed how people tag him as boring in T20s or say he plays too slow. Rahul said such comments do hurt. “It stings when people wrongly claim I'm the most boring player to watch in T20 or during the powerplay. There is a lot more to me than that.”

Why has KL Rahul been targeted so often online?

Rahul’s T20 game often gets slammed for being too slow. He is trolled for playing too many dot balls and even maiden overs in the powerplay.

With young, aggressive talents like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Abhishek Sharma smashing quick runs, Rahul’s style is often called outdated. Critics say his low strike rate in T20s doesn’t match the modern game, and that’s why he has always been catching heat.
