Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are playing the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match no. 61 of the Indian Premier League (2025) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium B Ground in Ardonamau, Lucknow.

Sunrisers' wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan's woes continue as he was seen dropping easy chances in what has been a horrendous season for both him and the Hyderabad-based franchise.

Ishan Kishan was picked up by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in last year's mega auction in Jeddah for a whopping 11.25 crores. His stint with the five-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) was quite successful, but a dip in the form of the 26-year-old batter from Jharkhand made the Paltans part ways with him ahead of this season.

SRH showed faith in the wicketkeeper's ability and acquired his services, which made him the highest-paid wicketkeeper in that auction.

Apart from a century in the season opener against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kishan has been largely disappointing for the Hyderabad camp, as they sit 8th in the points table, already eliminated from this year's playoff race.

Fans bash Ishan Kishan on social media after a poor showing on the field

Ishan Kishan was again the centre of attraction in an IPL game, albeit for the wrong cause, as he missed an easy catch of LSG star Mitchell Marsh when the Aussie was batting at just 11 runs off 6 balls. Marsh went on to score 54 more runs, which could hurt SRH's chances badly.

He followed it up with a missed stumping of Aiden Markram when the South African batter was on just 6 runs off 5 deliveries. Both Marsh and Markram took full advantage of their lifeline, as the duo stitched an opening partnership of 115 runs to provide the LSG batters a solid foundation.

Fans battered the 26-year-old batter from Jharkhand on social media, calling out his poor show of form from the last season. Check out the reactions below.

Harsh Dubey, who was making his debut for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, could have bagged a wicket on his very first ball in the IPL, but Kishan missed the chance to stump Markram and was smashed for a six in the very next ball, adding salt to the wounds of the wicketkeeper and his team.
