The reports of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson leaving the franchise ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini auction has been a hot topic of discussion in recent week.

Samson, who joined RR in 2013 as a youngster, has been a mainstay at the franchise, eventually becoming the club's highest-ever run scorer and captain.

He was one of the six players that the Royals had retained from their 2024 squad before they headed into the mega auction. But if he leaves the team, there will be a huge gap to fill for the management.
