Dewald Brevis didn’t need a full IPL season to make headlines. After just six matches for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025, the young South African has already gone past one of the most loved players in franchise history- MS Dhoni.

Before today’s game, both Dhoni and Brevis had hit 12 sixes each this season. But with another explosive innings against Gujarat Titans, Brevis added five more sixes to his name and now sits above Dhoni in the six-hitting list.
