The race for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 trophy is heating up as teams are gearing up for their respective battles in the playoffs.

After 70 matches this season, four teams qualified for the playoffs - Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Mumbai Indians (MI).

MI who are five-time champions will have a tough task ahead and will need to be at their best to win their sixth trophy. 

With the playoff venues, dates, and timings all set, The Sporting News takes a look at the win percentage of each team in knockout matches in the IPL.

Highest win percentage in IPL playoffs

Among the four playoff teams in 2025, Mumbai Indians have the highest winning percentage in the playoffs stage of the IPL. The Mumbai-based franchise has won 14 of their 21 playoff games, maintaining a win percentage of 66.6%.

Gujarat sit just behind them with a win percentage of 50%, as the 2022 champions have won three of their six playoff matches.

Bengaluru have a poor conversion rate, as they have won only 7 out of their 17 playoff matches played. Meanwhile, Punjab have played just five playoff games, winning just one game out of the them so far.

Considering overall, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) boast of the highest win percentage in the IPL playoffs with 66.67%. They are closely followed by the Chennai Super Kings, who have a win percentage of 65.39% in IPL playoffs.

Which team has won most IPL playoff matches?

CSK have won the most number of knockout matches in the IPL (17) and are followed by MI at 14.

Even if Mumbai manage to win all their remaining playoff matches - Qualifier 2 and the Final this season, they will still be behind CSK.
