As Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Virat Kohli ended their wait for the Indian Premier League trophy, England football team captain Harry Kane sent his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian icon and his team.

Kohli and RCB had to wait for the trophy since 2008, but they finally did it after beating PBKS by six runs in the grand finale at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Incidentally, 2025 also saw Kane ending his trophy curse as he lifted the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich, thus winning his first-ever trophy as a professional footballer.
