Both the teams have had a contrasting season so far, as Gujarat had a near-perfect campaign before losing both their games in the end to lose a spot in the top two of the points table.

Mumbai, on the other hand, started with four losses in five matches but picked up in time to turn their fortunes and make it to the playoffs by being the fourth-placed team in the league.
