Who is the favorite cricketer of Rishi Sunak?
In an interview with the Times of India, Sunak called himself a fan of Kohli — weeks after the 36-year-old cricketer retired from Test cricket.
He also shared a story about India's external affairs minister, S Jaishankar, gifting him a signed bat from Kohli at Diwali.
"I am a huge Virat Kohli fan — he is a total legend. One of my prized possessions is one of his signed bats that Minister S. Jaishankar brought to me when I was the Prime Minister to the Downing Street as a Diwali gift, which is amazing," he said.
Kohli recently announced his Test retirement after 123 Tests, where he scored 9230 runs at an average of 47 and 30 centuries to his name. He also announced his T20I retirement in 2024 after winning the World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean.
As India gears up for the much-anticipated five-match Test series in England over the summer, Kohli would be one of the missing names from the series for the first time since 2014.
