The first ball of the third over of SRH's innings quickly turned into one of the most talked-about moments of the night. Deepak Chahar bowled a delivery down the leg side that seemed to go past Ishan.

The keeper collected it cleanly, and the umpire initially signalled it as a wide. But Ishan -- assuming he had edged it -- started walking off even though there was no appeal from the bowler or fielders.

As SRH batter made his way back to the dugout -- MI captain Hardik Pandya ran over to pat him on the back -- seemingly applauding the act of honesty. But soon after, replays showed there was no touch to his bat on the UltraEdge.

Fans were stunned. Many took to social media to question Ishan's decision, with some going as far as accusing him of throwing his wicket.

The incident added to SRH’s troubles in what has already been a disappointing season. After reaching the final last year -- they now sit ninth in the points table with only two wins.
