As they batted first against the Punjab Kings and put 190/7 on the board, their talisman, Virat Kohli, rather struggled for his 43(35) despite being the top-scorer for them.

One of the key members in helping RCB win the trophy, the batting coach, Dinesh Karthik, was notably seen having a long discussion with Kohli during one of the strategic time-outs in the final.

While speaking to Nasser Hussain and Michael Atherton on the Sky Sports Cricket podcast, the RCB batting coach was asked about what he said to Kohli during the final that led to his wicket soon.
"This is probably the hardest question I have been asked on a podcast. I am trying to think, without getting scared for my life, I need to give the right answer. What did you think I was telling him, considering he got out in the next over?" DK playfully asked Atherton.

"Well, I don't know. I just saw what this man is telling one of the greatest batters that ever walked the earth. What can he possibly be telling him, and then whatever he told him didn't work because he was out," Atherton replied and laughed.
