CSK have had a disappointing season so far in 2025 as they have been eliminated from the playoffs race already. They will look to play for pride and spoil the party for the other teams who aspire to qualify for the last-four stage.
Dhoni's participation in the IPL each year since 2023 has been quite uncertain, though the veteran wicket-keeper has shown no signs to slow down as he continues to give his all for the franchise.
With age not on his side, fans and experts speculate how much time Dhoni has left before he decides to hang his cricket gloves once and for all.

Dhoni's participation in the IPL 2026 is still up in the air as the wicket-keeper batsman is not getting any younger. CSK's performance in this year's IPL hasn't been up to the mark too, as the veteran has contributed very little to the team's cause.
Dhoni will be next seen featuring against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday, May 7, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
