Real Madrid travel to western Austria for their final preseason friendly against WSG Tirol.

Club World Cup duties have meant truncated preparations for 2025/26 for new boss Xabi Alonso, who oversaw a 4-1 win over Leganes at Valdebebas last Friday.

Madrid begin their bid for La Liga glory against Osasuna on August 19.

Tirol finished 10th in the Austrian Bundesliga regular season in 2024/25 before safely coming third in the relegation round to avoid demotion to the second tier.

The Austrian top flight is already underway for the new campaign and they're showing signs of far better form this time around.

Tirol made it two wins from two in the Austrian Bundesliga this season with a 3-1 victory at home to LASK on Sunday. Captain Valentino Muller bagged a brace from central midfield, while new signing Thomas Sabitzer - the cousin of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer - was also on target.

It remains to be seen whether head coach Philipp Semlic rings the changes or elects to give his in-form players the reward of a joust with Madrid's stars.

Long-term knee injury victims Lukas Sulzbacher and David Falkner remain on the sidelines.

WSG Tirol predicted lineup (3-4-2-1, right to left): Stejskal (GK) — Jaunegg, Lawrence, Gugganig — Butler, Muller, Taferner, Bockle — Votter, Sabitzer — Hinterseer

Injured: Sulzbacher (ACL), Falkner (meniscus)

Eduardo Camavinga has suffered a sprained right ankle to add to Alonso's concerns in midfield, given Jude Bellingham is still on the mend from shoulder surgery.

Youth team product Thiago Pitarch scored against Leganes and is set to feature again after an impressive display. At the other end of the experience spectrum, Dani Carvajal started following a year on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

Fellow defenders Ferland Mendy and David Alaba remain on the sidelines, alongside striker Kendrick.

Real Madrid predicted lineup (4-3-1-2 right to left): Courtois (GK) — Alexander-Arnold, Rudiger, Huijsen, Carreras— Valverde Tchouameni, Pitarch — Brahim — Mbappe, Vinicius

Injured: Camavinga (ankle), Bellingham (shoulder), Alaba (knee), Endrick (hamstring), Mendy (muscular)
