Where Nicolas Jackson will be playing his football next season is still unknown, as the Chelsea striker continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Jackson has slippd down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

While Chelsea are looking to sell the Senegal international, and they could also be open to loaning him out, according to widespread reports.

Manchester United and Newcastle United have both been linked with a move for the former Villarreal attacker, however, both they are currently focusing on Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.

If it were up to Jackson, there is one Premier League club he would be open to joining, due to his relationship with their current manager.

Jackson has previously worked with Unai Emery, current boss at Aston Villa, and reportedly would love to reunite with him.

Nicolas Jackson would ‘love’ to play under Unai Emery again

Given that Jackson has previously worked with Emery at Villarreal, it's no surprise Villa are one of the clubs reportedly interested in signing him.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Jackson would 'love' to play under his former boss.

But any potential move to Villa Park for Jackson could hinge on what happens to Ollie Watkins in the coming weeks.

Aston Villa reportedly see Jackson as a replacement for Watkins and could make a move for him if the latter eaves this summer.

A move to Villa and a reunion with Emery may be exactly what Jackson needs to get his career back on track.
