Chelsea will face off with Real Betis in the final of the UEFA Conference League on May 28.
Ahead of the final, former Blues skipper John Terry has backed midfield star Moises Caicedo to continue his good form in the club’s final game of the season.
A clash in Wroclaw is Enzo Maresca's final chance to secure a trophy in his debut season, and Terry believes the 'superb' Caicedo can make the difference in Poland.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Terry said: "Caicedo’s been excellent this year. I think in the first season, first few months, he wasn’t the player we saw at Brighton."
“But I think naturally over time when you arrive at another big club, sometimes you’re probably too keen to impress and it didn’t go well, he picked up a couple of little niggles, but I’ve seen him this year and he’s been absolutely superb."
The Chelsea legend also spoke his experience now as a Blues fan and he will travel to the final.

"As a Chelsea fan, I go to the games and think, ‘I’d take 11 of you [Caicedo] week in, week out! His attitude and the way he defends is first class"
However, despite his praise, Terry snubbed Caicedo when naming his three top-performing Chelsea players at the start of 2025, as he opted for Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto instead.
Caicedo was crucial to Chelsea securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League for next season. The 23-year-old played in all 38 of the Blues Premier League fixtures as they went on to clinch fourth spot in the table.

Based on his impressive form, it's no surprise Caicedo is attracting fresh transfer interest from tSaudi giants Al Nassr, who have been linked with a summer move for him. However, given his importance to Maresca, it would be surprising if Chelsea entertain offers for the Ecuador international.
