Chelsea have had a busy summer transfer window after signing several attacking players and there could be more new arrivals at Stamford Bridge.
The trend across recent summers has focused on the Blues being very active trying to mould their squad and Enzo Maresca will continue that strategy ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Chelsea are eyeing more signings, after winning the FIFA Club World Cup, where new faces Joao Pedro and Liam Delap played key roles in the USA.
Journalist Simon Phillips has reported, via his Substack channel, that Chelsea have already held new talks on with the agent of Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.
Phillips states the Blues are yet to make contact with Palace as they seek reassurances of the 27-year-old attacking midfielder wanting to join them.
Eze has a release clause worth £65m [$87m] in his contract at Selhurst Park, but Maresca is holding off on triggering it, as he want to know the player’s preference before advancing any further.

Chelsea’s ready to battle Premier League rivals for Eze
At the end of last season, multiple reports claimed Eze is universally liked at Chelsea, and the club were ready to launch a potential move for the Palace and England star this summer.

Chelsea believe the attacking midfielder, who usually plays as a No.10 or a left-winger, is ready to take the next leap in his career to join an elite club - with Palace also hit by the blow of not being allowed to compete in Europe this season.
More importantly, the arrival of Eze could provide an alternative to Cole Palmer, who has seen a lot of game time in the recently concluded season.
