After securing a top-4 finish in the Premier League and claiming UEFA Conference League glory, Chelsea were always set for a busy transfer window.
The Blues also had the added motivation of strengthening their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, as they are one of two English teams participating in the tournament.
Arrivals
Enzo Maresca’s team wasted no time, as they were proactive in the transfer market and announced the signing of Dario Essugo from Las Palmas as soon as the transfer window opened.
The player is expected to add more depth to Chelsea’s midfield and compete for a place alongside Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea needed an experienced centre-back. However, they have chosen to invest in 19-year-old Mamadou Sarr from FC Strasbourg.
The youngster has signed a bumper 8-year contract at Stamford Bridge and will be hoping to make invaluable contributions on the pitch.

In attack, Chelsea have activated the £30 million release clause to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. Delap's arrival adds a new dimension to the forward line, and he is anticipated to participate in the upcoming Club World Cup.
Looking ahead, the Blues have also secured agreements for two highly-rated young talents: Estevão Willian from Palmeiras and Kendry Páez from Independiente del Valle.
Both players are set to join the club officially in July 2025, bringing with them significant potential and excitement for the future.

Departures
While Chelsea are set for a squad overhaul in the ongoing summer transfer window, not too many players have left the club just yet.

However, a number of players, including the likes of Axel Disasi, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka and Kepa Arrizabalaga are all being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during this summer transfer window.
