Chelsea are on a mission to add a new left-winger to their squad this summer and have prioritised Jamie Gittens at Borussia Dortmund.
The Blues have already seen a couple of bids rejected for the English winger before the first transfer window closed on June 10.
However, as per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano for Givemesport, the saga between the player and club is far from done as Chelsea plan a fresh £60m [$81.5m] bid, when the transfer window reopens on June 16.
The report adds Gittens is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks but he's waiting for a call from the club.
Gittens will not force through an exit at Signal Iduna Park and he could even rejoin preseason training in July if an exit is not agreed by then.
The 20-year-old is under contract in Dortmund until 2028 and Chelsea could offer him a deal to stretch on until 2030

Sources confirm Chelsea are prepared to restart negotiations with Borussia Dortmund soon to try to reach an agreement - their plans include Gittens, and a new proposal could be on the table next week.
However, the club may look to wait until Enzo Maresca's team return from FIFA Club World Cup duty in July, with their campaign starting against Flamengo on June 20 in Philadelphia.
