Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes century at Asian Games - Who are the youngest Indian players to score 100s in T20I? image

Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the youngest Indian cricketer to score a century in a T20 International (T20I) game against Nepal in the Asian Games men's quarterfinal at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou.

At the age of 21 years, nine months, and 13 days, Jaiswal's outstanding century broke the previous record held by Shubman Gill, who had achieved a T20I century for India at the age of 23 years and 146 days.

Jaiswal reached this milestone in just 48 deliveries, displaying his incredible batting skills.

At the other end, India's skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad made a brisk 25  as they forged a 100-plus opening stand, providing India with a strong foundation for a high-scoring total.

Jaiswal's achievement is particularly impressive as it marked his sixth appearance in the T20I format, highlighting his rapid rise in international cricket. He secured his century by taking a single off the bowling of Sompal Kami in the 16th over of the match.

Lower down the order, Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh were sensational as the former scored 25 off just 19 balls while the latter smashed 37, including four sixes, in just 15 deliveries.

In response, Nepal put up a good fight but fell short by 23 runs to bow out of the tournament.
