The fourth edition of the World Test Championship is underway. Just a month into this edition, cricket fans have already been treated to some terrific performances from across the globe. 

With only a handful of games played so far, TSN takes a look at the highest wicket-takers in this edition of the WTC.

Top wicket takers in WTC 2025-27 cycle

The West Indian pacer Shamar Joseph is currently leading the bowlers' chart with his exceptional performances against Australia. Joseph has picked up 14 wickets in his 4 outings at an average of 18.71.

Australia's Josh Hazlewood is ranked second with 11 wickets at a staggering average of just 14.54.

Meanwhile, the Indian pacer Akash Deep clinched his first-ever 10-wicket haul in Edgbaston during the second India vs England Test. 

Jasprit Bumrah entered the Lord's honours board, scalping 5 wickets in the first innings of the Lord's Test against England. Siraj has also grabbed a five-wicket haul at Edgbaston.

The Indian pacers have started off the WTC cycle in some fashion, with the pace trio having a fifer each under their belt.

With a lot of cricket still to be played in this WTC cycle, it would be interesting to see whether the Indian pacers keep up the good work and end the cycle at the top.
