India and Pakistan's cricketing rivalry has always drawn headlines but in the World Championship of Legends, it has taken a complicated turn.
After India pulled out of their league-stage fixture against Pakistan citing diplomatic reasons, all eyes are now on the upcoming semi-final - where the two sides are once again set to clash. The question is: will it actually happen this time?

India vs Pakistan Legends semi-final scenarios explained
Pakistan topped the WCL group stage with four wins and one no-result. India scraped through to the semi-finals with just one win, one no-result and three defeats, finishing fourth.
As per the tournament format - the top-ranked team faces the fourth-placed team. This sets up an India vs Pakistan semi-final.
But given the unresolved tensions from the earlier boycott - there are multiple ways this semi-final could play out.
India play the match as scheduled -- Most straightforward possibility. Although unlikely but India could choose to play a full-strength or even a modified squad.
India forfeit the match again -- If India refuse to play entirely as they did in the league stage, Pakistan will likely be awarded a walkover and move straight to the final.
Match is cancelled or rescheduled by organisers -- Less likely but the organisers could reschedule/relocate or even cancel the match.
There is no official confirmation from the BCCI or the WCL organisers as of now.

Shikhar Dhawan standing firm on not playing
Recently, Dhawan was asked about facing Pakistan in the knockout round. The Indian captain became frustrated on the question.
"You're asking this question at the wrong time and place, you shouldn’t have asked it. I didn't play earlier, I still won't play now," Dhawan said.
Dhawan’s comments suggest that senior players might once again opt out.
