A similar story has unfolded in the 2024 IPL season with the Lucknow Super Giants’ 21-year-old speedster, Mayank Yadav dazzling the crowd and troubling the Punjab Kings batsmen with his blistering pace.
Yadav consistently clocked speeds of around 90 miles in an hour, also picking up three important wickets in the process and contributing to a comfortable 21-run win for the home side on Saturday.

Top 10 fastest balls bowled in IPL 2024
Mumbai Indians' Gerald Coetzee had apparently bowled the fastest delivery in IPL 2024 so far. He bowled an insanely quick delivery that clocked 157.4 kmph on the speed gun during MI's loss to Rajasthan Royals on April 1.
But it was later clarified that it was a mistake by the speed gun. So, the actual fastest delivery in IPL 2024 belongs to LSG's tearaway quick Mayank Yadav.
