As the second Test against England plays out at Edgbaston, Pant has quietly moved up the sixes leaderboard.
In the second innings of the second Test in Birmingham, Pant played an important knock of 65 runs of 58 balls, where he hit three maximums and took his overall tally of sixes in his Test career to 86.
Pant headed to Lord's for the third Test, two sixes short of Rohit Sharma's total tally and four less than Virender Sehwag, who has hit the most sixes in Test matches among Indian players. In the first innings, Pant scored 74 runs where he hit two sixes and equalled Sharma's tally.
