India's loss in the third Test at Lord's has reignited debates about the void left by Virat Kohli's retirement.
Chasing a modest 193 for win, Shubman Gill's side fell short by 22 runs after a fighting unbeaten 61 from Ravindra Jadeja.
Former England captain Nasser Hussain criticised the Indian team's approach in the chase. He pointed out that India missed a proven run-chaser like Kohli in the batting lineup.

This was India's first England tour without Kohli since 2011.
While India's top order of Gill, Pant, and Rahul have scored runs throughout the series, none of them were able to take the initiative to guide the side over the finish line.
Hussain felt that the chase might have ended differently had Kohli, the 'King of run chases,' been around.
Nasser Hussain's pointed criticism of India's chase
During commentary on Day 5, Nasser Hussain took a pointed dig at India's current set-up. He called for someone to step up and fill Kohli's shoes in crunch situations.
"No Virat Kohli today. India need to find a new one. The old one has retired. He was the king of the run chase," said Hussain.
Kohli retired from Test cricket in May this year, just days after Rohit Sharma made his announcement. He built a career on thriving under pressure - especially in white-ball cricket.
India sorely missed that assurance during the run-chase at Lord's. The absence of a batter like Kohli was clearly visible as the collapse unfolded on Day 5.
England's pace attack crushes India's hopes
India resumed Day 5 on 58/4 but soon collapsed to 112/8 by lunch. Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes picked up three wickets each and Woakes chipped in with the crucial dismissal of Reddy.
Pant was dismissed early to an in-swinger from Archer and KL Rahul was trapped LBW by Stokes after a successful review. Despite Jadeja’s fightback with the tail, the damage was already done.
