Speaking to the BCCI after the game, Suryavanshi said that he was unaware that he had created a record. "I didn't know that I had created a record after making 100, our Team manager Ankit Sir told me that I have created a record," said Suryavanshi.
The young star further described how he was inspired by watching the Indian senior Test team captain Shubman Gill bat. "I got a lot of inspiration from him, I saw the game, even after scoring 100 and 200 he kept at it and he took the team forward," added Suryavanshi.
Gill himself caught the eyeballs of the cricketing fraternity during his U19 days, scoring big runs for the Youth side. The Indian skipper has clearly managed to leave a lasting impact on the next generation.
