Amid the electric atmosphere of the tennis Grand Slam, SKY shared insights into his admiration for tennis and revealed something intriguing — if he had to pick a doubles partner from the cricket world, MS Dhoni would be his automatic choice.

MS Dhoni will be my doubles partner: Yadav

While talking to Star Sports at the sidelines of the Wimbledon action, Yadav was asked about his dream doubles partner from cricket in Tennis.

Answering the question, Yadav stated, "It would be MS Dhoni. He possesses speed, exceptional endurance & incredible mental toughness. I’ve noticed that when he’s not engaged in cricket, he often plays tennis. So yes, my choice is unequivocally MS Dhoni."

While it's fun and hypothetical, it also offers a glimpse into the camaraderie and admiration Dhoni commands, even years after stepping away from international cricket.

Surya X Dhoni: A bond of camaraderie and respect

While MS Dhoni retired from international cricket 5 years back, the respect he still commands amongst his teammates is commendable. Yadav, himself, has often spoken about Dhoni’s influence on Indian cricket and his approach to the game.

Known for staying calm under pressure and trusting his instincts, SKY’s game mirrors some of the traits that made Dhoni great, particularly his innovation and game awareness. Much like Dhoni, Surya is often seen calm under difficult situations and carries a lot of self-belief.

Moreover, MSD himself has been known for enjoying different sports and especially tennis during his time off in Ranchi. Dhoni has often been captured playing tennis tournaments in Ranchi, which also gives a glimpse into his abilities as a potential doubles partner.
