SKY expected to be fit before the Asia Cup 2025

Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav is expected to be fit before the start of the Asia Cup, later next month. The batter had his first batting session last week following surgery in Germany in July.

According to RevSportz, Yadav is right on track to recover ahead of the Asia Cup and will soon begin his fielding and running drills at full intensity.

The T20I skipper will also go through the due fitness tests ahead of the team selection, which could happen in 7-10 days from now.

As per the previous reports, he has started batting in the nets for the first time after the surgery.

Surya last played a competitive game in June, where he featured for Triumph Knights Mumbai North East in the Mumbai T20 league, just after the IPL. The India skipper did not enjoy a very good run as per his standards in the domestic league, scoring just 122 runs in 4 innings.

Surya might feature in a few practice matches at the CoE before India fly to the UAE. India is expected to leave in the first week of September.
