Just before the fourth Test between India and England got underway at Old Trafford, Mohammed Siraj had a memorable encounter. Not on the field but at Manchester United's training ground.

The Indian pacer met United's captain Bruno Fernandes during a team visit to the club's facility and what followed was a dream moment for Siraj - a long-time Cristiano Ronaldo fan.

As the Indian players mingled with United stars, exchanged jerseys and enjoyed a few fun football and cricket activities, Siraj took the chance to bring up Ronaldo in conversation.

That chat ended with Fernandes offering Siraj something special: an opportunity to meet the football legend in person.

Siraj reveals Fernandes' promise to set up Ronaldo meeting

Siraj revealed that during their talk, he asked Fernandes to convey his greetings to Ronaldo.

In return, the Manchester United skipper invited Siraj to Portugal to watch a game and assured him he would arrange a meeting with the Portuguese star.

"I told him to give my regards to Cristiano Ronaldo. So he asked me to come to Portugal and watch a match and that he will arrange a meeting with Ronaldo for me," Siraj told Sony Sports Network.

The interaction took place during Team India's visit to Manchester United's training base, where players from both sides bonded over games and conversations.
