India’s first innings at Headingley turned into a full-blown showcase of the team’s next generation, with three young stars, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant, hammering centuries.

The trio’s performances pushed India to a commanding total and also caught the eye of Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka, who posted a heartfelt message on social media.

The businessman, who also owns the IPL franchise where Pant leads as captain, praised all three players but gave a special nod to Pant, who reached his century with a stunning six.
