It was an evening full of laughter, throwbacks and heartfelt stories as some of Indian cricket's biggest names reunited at Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan fundraiser in London.

Among many fun moments, one highlight stood out - Rishabh Pant outbidding everyone with a £17,000 offer to present an award to his teammate Jasprit Bumrah, turning heads and raising both money and cheer.

Pant’s move came during a light-hearted auction where guests could bid to present awards to cricketers. While tables offering access to Yuvraj Singh were already going for over £12,000, Pant raised the bar by bidding £17,000, the highest of the night, just to walk up and present the honour to Bumrah.

According to reports, his competitive spirit kicked in as the bidding heated up. Even surrounded by deep-pocketed guests, Pant refused to back down. His teammates were seen laughing as he playfully raised his paddle, in a way only Pant could.

The event wasn’t just about fundraising; it had plenty of fun-filled awards too. Players like Kuldeep Yadav were given a cheeky title. Ravindra Jadeja won the award for being the most frequent DRS requester.

Even Mohammed Siraj had his moment, with Shubman Gill and Gautam Gambhir joking about how Siraj appeals every time the ball touches the pad. The crowd burst out laughing as Gill mimicked an LBW shout that had no chance of success.

What did Tendulkar and Kohli share at Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan fundraiser?

Sachin Tendulkar offered a rare emotional reflection, recalling the night before India's opening match at the 2011 World Cup. He spoke about Yuvraj’s quiet determination and how that night changed everything.

Virat Kohli added his own dose of humour, joking about colouring his beard and what it meant about getting older.

He also shared a touching moment from the dressing room, watching a replay of one of Yuvraj’s classic innings with KL Rahul. “It felt like he was saving India all over again,” Kohli said.

The event, which raised over £1 million, aimed to support cancer patients through Yuvraj’s YouWeCan Foundation. Players left their on-field seriousness behind to support a cause that’s very personal to Yuvraj, himself a cancer survivor.
