Sarfarz Khan's selfie inside a gym went viral on social media as the India batter showed off his impeccable physical change after undergoing a rigorous fitness regime.
While Khan's talent was never denied, his physical fitness has come under scrutiny on multiple occasions in the past due to overweight.
The right-hand batter made his debut in the Test series against New Zealand on home soil last October and even scored a century, but he simultaneously dropped from the starting lineup during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy away tour, where he did not get picked in any of the five matches.

For the England tour, the selectors completely ignored Sarfaraz, however, the batter was determined to work on his fitness in a bid to come back into the national side.
The change is now visible as he looks sleek after significant weight loss, which is truly a testimony to the player's discipline and determination.

Former England batter Kevin Pietersen saluted Khan's resolute determination as he wrote on X: "Outstanding effort, young man! Huge congrats and I’m sure it’s going to lead to better and more consistent performances on the field. I love the time you’ve spent reorganising your priorities! LFG! Can someone show Prithvi this please? It can be done! Strong body, strong mind!"

While the social media post was made with a positive mindset, many pointed out that the England legend might have taken a dig at Prithvi Shaw, who has seen his career go downhill in the past couple of months.

Shaw is nowhere close to making a comeback to the national team and has no franchise to play for in the Indian Premier League.
The youngster, however, could truly seek inspiration from Sarfaraz and work on his fitness and game to undergo a transformation and get his career back on track, as suggested by Pietersen.
