The Nepal Men's Cricket team has begun its preparations for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup qualifiers with a two-week focused training camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, India.

The ICC Men's T20I World Cup 2026 is scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 2026 and will go on till March.

After their appearance in the ACC Men's Asia Cup in 2023 and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, the Nepal cricket team is leaving no stone unturned as they prepare for the all-important 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia qualifiers scheduled to be held in the month of October.

Nepal has progressively emerged as one of the most exciting associate nations in recent years. Their quality of cricket and passionate fans have managed to grab the eyeballs of the cricketing fraternity.

How do teams qualify for the T20 World Cup?

The 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup qualification is an ongoing process through which the teams qualify for the main World Cup. A series of regional qualification tournaments determines the teams that will take part in the marquee event.

Africa, Asia, America, East Asia-Pacific, and Europe form regional qualifiers, and the top teams from each region progress to the main event. 

Nepal comes under the East-Asia Pacific region and will feature in the EAP Regional Finals. The East-Asia Pacific Regional finals will include a total of nine teams that will fight for three spots at the ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup.
