The two-time defending champions of The Men's Hundred Oval Invincibles (OI) continued their strong start to the 2025 season by securing their fourth win in five matches.

Captain Sam Curran was the star of the night as the Invincibles successfully chased down 134 runs against the Southern Brave (SB) with 7 wickets and 11 balls left.

He won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. By scalping three wickets and scoring a crucial fifty, Curran helped the Invincibles continue their reign at the top of the table while improving the net run rate.

After putting the Brave into bat upon winning the toss, the Invincibles took wickets at crucial junctures and prevented the hosts from gaining sustained momentum.

Hilton Cartwright and Jordan Thompson's cameos helped the Brave to recover Jason Behrendorff's and Rashid Khan's early breakthroughs before Sam Curran dismissed the duo for 42(30) and 24(13) respectively.

The 27-year-old first ended Thompson's counterattack with the help of a nick to the wicketkeeper, followed by a great yorker that rattled Cartwright's leg stump to pull OI back in the match.

He also dismissed Jofra Archer on the 96th ball of the innings to finish his 18 balls with 3/21.

In response, the CSK star player had to walk in to bat at 18/2 after a couple of early wickets for Jamie Overton. With the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes, he added 50(32) alongside Jordan Cox's 56(37) to stitch 101 off 64 for the third wicket to seal the match.
