Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are one of the youngest franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) having made their debut only last season along with reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT).

The Giants made it to the play-off rounds and won the title in their very first season. However, LSG lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the eliminator match.

This season, LSG are third in the table, having won eight out of their 14 games. Can the Lucknow-based side make it to the playoffs this season? Let's find out.

LSG  have qualified for the playoffs after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by one run in their last league stage match.

They will remain in third place, despite being equal on points with CSK, as the Men in Blue have an inferior NRR than the MS Dhoni & Co.

When will Lucknow Super Giants play next?

LSG will now play in the Eliminator on May 24 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The opponent will be the team which will finish in the fourth place. According to the standings, it can be either Mumbai Indians or Royal Challengers Bangalore.
