India take on England for the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar trophy at the Kennington Oval. The visitors faced yet another lower-order collapse, providing England with an early advantage in the fifth Test.

Post ending Day 1 at 204/6, India would have hoped to add some more crucial runs and take the score past 300, but that wasn't the case. When the visitors came out to bat on the second day, it took England just 5.4 overs to end India's innings, as they suffered yet another lower-order collapse in this series.

India suffers yet another lower-order collapse

Team India ended their first innings at 224, losing the final four wickets for just 6 runs. India were at 218/6 when Josh Tongue got the better of Karun Nair with a wonderful inswinger that got the batter trapped right in front of the stumps. 

Washington Sundar, Mohammad Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna soon followed Nair, being dismissed by Gus Atkinson, as he ended with a five-wicket haul (5/33) in his comeback Test for England

This was not the first instance in this series that India suffered a collapse. The visitors have faced similar situations in the first four games as well, wherein they lost a probable advantageous position in the game.
